*Trigger Warning*

988

Let me type that again

988

If you or anyone you know is ever in need of mental help assistance or even just a last “lifeline.” Do Not Hesitate! 988, is your number to call for the National Suicide Hotline.

Long gone are the days of trying to remember the long digit phone number, or trying to sing the song by the artist, Logic.

In all honesty. I have used that long digit number to call the hotline, and to get the help I needed when I was dealing with post-partum depression, and all I can say is, THANK YOU LORD for giving me that option. I felt lost, sad, confused, scattered, hyperventilating frantic, and when I wasn’t feeling all that, I was sleeping. All I could do to get out of bed was basically beg myself. I ignored the “but you're such a good mom!” Because to be absolutely real, even if it’s someone you are super super close to, those positive words can still fall on deaf ears.

Please don’t hesitate to reach for help. I at times have felt like “I’m just a burden, people are better off without.” and the truth is not that simple, that's a lie we feed ourselves and believe to be “truth.”

You are loved, you are worthy, and you are stronger than you really even know. Life is dang hard sometimes and sometimes it feels like it “out to get us,” or that its “not fair.” Some cases, you are totally right, but please before you feel the need to do anything permanent, call 988.
