Ok, bear with me. I know it’s not officially spring yet, and the weather definitely doesn’t feel like spring. Regardless I have the bug. The spring cleaning big. I am ready to do away with the old and in with the new.

I have a room in my house I affectionately call “The Record Room”. Why, you may ask? I own at least a thousand records and have them on display. Being somewhat the center piece of the room lends itself well to the name.

I have been trying to figure out how I want it styled for quite some time. We have put in new floors. I have hung various posters. I have pop culture figurines. A karaoke system. Classic video game systems. It’s a mish mash of things I love and enjoy. The wall decorations have always been lacking. I couldn’t figure out what I wanted to do.

It finally all came together. I have some awesome concert posters. I got frames for them so they would look really nice hung on the wall. I started with 3. They looked pretty good, but it was too sparse. So I found and framed 2 more and that filled it out, it looked better. Then I hung my guitar on the wall. I was getting there. It was close, but still missing something. Then it hit me. What if I get some shelves and display my records between the posters. 2 records fit perfectly between each. That was the clincher. It is so ascetically pleasing to me now. I can just stand and stare at my wall, I love it so much! Bonus, with the shelves I got I can rotate out my albums to always be displaying new ones to keep it fresh!

Up next, cleaning the garage. Ugh
